15 Fabulous Guilt-Free Super Bowl Sunday Snacks & Appetizers
We were in Seattle the weekend the Seahawks beat the Packers to go to Super Bowl XLIX. While we didn’t watch the game at the stadium, being in a city so full of energy, excitement, and team devotion was amazing and tons of fun. This coming Sunday is going to be an action-packed game against the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks. My favorite part of the day is having everyone together, eating delicious food, and celebrating good team playing. To help you with your fabulous fiesta, here are 15 guilt-free Super Bowl Sunday Snacks and Appetizers to choose from to have a scrumptious party.
Hummus is a great dip to have around because it tastes so good with chopped veggies. Having a crudité plate at a party is perfect to munch and crunch the healthy, guilt-free, colorful food.
Spinach Dip Revamped. This version is super low fat and tasty. You can also dip carrots, cucumbers, and other veggies into the dip to get your extra health dosage on. Major Guilt-Free.
Green Eggs and Ham Dip is a fun, healthy play on a dip using spinach, eggs, and bacon. Talk about luxurious and tasty all in one bowl.
7 Layer Bean Dip with Homemade Guacamole and Homemade Tortilla Chips is a classic at every party. Making homemade tortilla chips are very easy. We even had Madison (who’s only 6 years old) make the chips. Simple and fun.
Snack Girl’s Bacon and Eggs (Deviled Eggs). I’m a huge fan of deviled eggs and Snack Girl has modified this dish to bring on a guilt-free, healthier version that still has all the flavor and love inside. (photo taken by Snack Girl)
Baked French Fries are always fun to have. You can use Russet potatoes, sweet potatoes, Peruvian purple potatoes…you name the potato, and you can bake a French fry with it. Try a variety pack for fun.
Kale Chips are another way to get crunchy vegetables into game day for a healthy snack and treat that’s full of fiber, vitamins A and C, and antioxidants.
Quesadillas are really simple and fast to make. I like topping the quesadillas with a scoop of the 7-layer bean dip. Now you have 2 appetizers working together.
Buffalo Cauliflower Wings with Blue Cheese Dressing via Kara Lydon, The Foodie Dietitian. When I first came upon this recipe from Kara Lydon, I was blown away! The Buffalo Cauliflower Wings are sooooo delicious and unique. These will be a super hit at your super bowl party for sure. (photo taken by Kara Lydon).
Oven-Baked “Fried” Chicken is easy to prep and clean up and always a hit at the party when people are craving some protein.
Pulled Turkey Sandwiches with Cabbage and Carrot Slaw are perfect mini-sliders to pop into your mouth and enjoy some savory sweet crunchy love. You can make the slaw and the pulled turkey ahead of time, too. If you don’t want to use turkey, I’ve substituted rotisserie chicken and shredded pork before, also.
Quick & Easy Turkey or Chicken Asian-Inspired Lettuce Cups are delicious, low calorie, and super-fast to prepare. The crisp lettuce and water chestnuts provide great crunch and texture with the savory chicken filling.
Italian Meatballs via Budget Bytes are classic. Quick to prepare, savory, and divine. Looking for a protein punch at your party? These are a must-try (photo taken by Budget Bytes).
Five Bean Baked Chili is a standard dish at so many sporting event gatherings. The warmth of the comforting chili is exquisite. You can make this on the stovetop or in a crockpot. I like to make it the day before so the flavors blend together and I have more free time the day of the party.
Having a dessert at a fiesta just seals the deal and Pinch of Yum makes fabulous Healthy Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Bars. Mouthwatering. They are really easy to make, too, so enjoy your salty chocolate. Yuuummmmm…. (photo taken by Pinch of Yum).
