I LOVE pizza! Making your own is actually pretty simple and fun. We made pizza with Sophia in a Kids In The Kitchen Cooking Demo before. Click HERE for the quick video. You can make your pizza dough from scratch. However, I just use the pre-made dough from the grocery store and roll it out. It takes only minutes to spread the love and another 16 minutes to bake. Enjoy your pizza party! You can add ANY toppings you want! Here we used Green Peppers. Get creative with olives, red onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, jalapenos, pineapple, and more!

Serves: 8
Ingredients
  • Pizza dough (pre-made from Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods)
  • 1 16-oz can of tomato sauce
  • 4 oz reduced fat (light) shredded mozzarella
  • 8 oz Cabot 75% reduced fat cheddar cheese
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • Dried oregano & dried basil to sprinkle over pizza (I used fresh basil & chopped it)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  2. Slice bell pepper in thin strips, removing stem and seeds first and set aside.
  3. Place dough onto cooking surface (a pizza stone or pizza pan will yield the best results). Stretch dough with fingers until it has reached desired size.
  4. Evenly spread tomato sauce over dough. Sprinkle oregano, basil, and cheese evenly over sauce. Place diced bell pepper on top.
  5. Pop in the oven for about 16-18 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
