A Sexy Valentine’s Day Menu With 7 Aphrodisiac Foods
Valentine’s Day is a day of love, tenderness, and adoration. Why not make a menu full of aphrodisiac-inspired foods to encourage more passion? I originally made this menu for my husband when we were still dating. I wanted to give him a special dinner to show him how much I cared for him and bring on that extra spark. Let’s just say the evening went as planned….
Oysters: have zinc which increases testosterone and can bring out the love doctor.
Asparagus: has vitamin E which increases circulation of testosterone and estrogen and can increase libido.
Chilies: have capsaicin which stimulates nerve endings and can increase the heat in a relationship.
Salmon: has Omega-3s which keep up the production of sex-hormones.
Red Wine: has resveratrol which increases circulation and blood flow to get one ready for an active night.
Maca: is a superfood from Peru which increases energy, libido, and fertility.
Cocoa: has phenylethylamine which stimulates excitement and is a classic love-related food.
There are more aphrodisiac foods, such as honey, avocados, bananas, garlic, pomegranates, figs, and more, so you have many options for enhancing a romantic night.
Starter: Make it simple with a couple of oyster shooters.
Top the oysters with: hot sauce (get your capsaicin on) or a little horseradish or a mix of finely chopped shallots, lemon juice, and white wine vinegar.
Enjoy your meal with a glass of red wine and get ready for love. Have a wonderfully stimulating Valentine’s Day! Remember: love doesn’t have to stop on Valentine’s Day. You can incorporate these foods into your weekly diet to have a continuous life full of passion and pizzazz.
