Simple Summer Smoothie Bowl
Fast, vibrant, and satisfying, this five-ingredient Simple Summer Smoothie Bowl is the perfect breakfast or snack to have on a hot summer day. Naturally sweetened with berries and banana, the bowl contains no added sugar and is packed with vitamins and antioxidants.
The fistful of oats adds a healthy dose of fiber and the hemp powder boosts the protein and omega-3 content, making this bowl both filling and nutritious. Best of all, this smoothie bowl is easy to make.
- ¾ cup frozen assorted mixed berries
- 1 medium banana
- ⅓ cup quick-cooking oats (raw)
- ⅓ cup water
- 1 Tbsp hemp seeds or hemp powder
- Optional toppings: fresh fruit, sliced almonds, chia seeds, unsweetened coconut flakes, granola
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until consistency is thick and smooth. Pour mixture into a bowl and top with seasonal summer fruit such as kiwi and peaches. Add crunch with coconut flakes, slivered almonds, chia seeds, or granola.
