August is here and its Kids Eat Right month which promotes healthy eating for kids and families. Healthy eating is easy to achieve when you know what foods to provide your family. With school starting soon, having a plan for a delicious, well-balanced lunch can ensure that your kids will eat yummy food that nourishes their souls and happily fills their bellies. I reached out to my fellow colleagues to find out their lunch recipes for success. They shared their best back-to-school lunches from dietitians. In general, a well-balanced lunch includes a main entrée, a fruit, and a vegetable side. Enjoy these main entrée lunch ideas. You can make them complete meals by simply adding a fruit on the side and a veggie + dip (like baby carrots with hummus or cucumbers with ranch dressing). Have fun celebrating Kids Eat Right all year long!
